Today, we manage the Wards Corner Community Space and work alongside the market’s historic traders, all of whom have returned and continue to make this place so special. At the same time, we are working closely with the traders, Architecture 00, Unit 38 and Places for London to co-produce the design of the permanent market, ensuring that its future reflects the needs, aspirations and heritage of the communities that have sustained it for generations.
Since reopening in October, we have been delivering a vibrant programme of activities that celebrates, supports and connects our communities—a first glimpse of the Community Plan in action. From creative workshops and advice drop-ins to cultural events and community-led initiatives, the space is being shaped by and for the people who use it.
